چکیده
Background/aim: Renal ischemia-reperfusion (IR) related acute kidney injury (AKI) is an important health problem and has not yet been fully treated. Tarantula cubensis extract (TCE) a homeopathic drug that antiinflammatory antioxidant effects. This study aimed to investigate the effects of TCE on renal in rats. Materials methods: was carried out 48 Spraque-Dawley male rats, which were divided into six groups. The first, second, third groups control, sham, IR groups, respectively. Group four received 0.2 mL 96% ethanol. five ischemia reperfusion 0.01 0.1 mg per rat (which correspond approximately 0.04 mg/kg, 0.4 mg/kg), Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1beta (IL-1ß), total status (TAS), oxidant (TOS) levels tissue measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Oxidative stress index (OSI) obtained proportioning TAS TOS. Superoxide dismutase (SOD), myeloperoxidase (MPO) activities, malondialdehyde (MDA) determined manual spectrophotometric methods. histopathological changes evaluated via hematoxylineosin immunohistochemical staining. Results: In group, TNF-α IL-1ß significantly higher than control group (p < 0.0001 for both), low both) high dose administration decreased these markers. Low doses OSI values compared with = p 0.001 respectively). Although MDA levels, it statistically significant. MPO decreased. addition, found prevent hemorrhage, cast formation, dilatation caused tissues stained hematoxylin-eosin. And also, most intense nuclear kappa B (NFKB) caspase-3 immunopositivity both Conclusion: showed protective effect inhibiting inflammation against damage tissues, there no clear oxidative stress. Larger more detailed studies are needed clarify issue.

Renoprotective effects of GABA on ischemia/reperfusion- induced renal injury in hyperglycemic male and female rats
Introduction: Acute kidney injury (AKI) has been known as a complex clinical complication in diabetic patients. The main cause of AKI is ischemia/reperfusion injury (IRI). This study was designed to investigate the protective effects of GABA on renal IRI in hyperglycemic female and male rats. Methods: Sixty STZ induced diabetic male and female Wistar rats were categorized in 10 groups (5 fem...

15 صفحه اولEffects of propofol on renal ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats
Renal ischemia/reperfusion injury (IRI) is a major cause of acute renal failure. The aim of this study was to investigate whether propofol pretreatment in a rat model protects kidney tissue against IRI. Thirty-two Wistar rats were equally divided into four groups: a sham-operated group, untreated renal IRI group, and low-dose (5 mg/kg) and high-dose (10 mg/kg) propofol-treated groups which were...
متن کاملCombination Antioxidant Effect of Erythropoietin and Melatonin on Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Rats
Objective(s): Renal ischemia reperfusion (IR) contributes to the development of acute renal failure (ARF). Oxygen free radicals are considered to be principal components involved in the pathophysiological tissue alterations observed during renal IR. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of co-administration of melatonin (MEL) and erythropoietin (EPO), potent antioxidant and ...
متن کاملEvaluating the Recovery Process of Renal Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in Rats Using Small-Animal SPECT
Background: Renal injuries associated with ischemia/reperfusion are a prevalent clinical phenomenon that can cause the emergence of progressive kidney diseases, eventually leading to chronic kidney injuries. The present study was conducted to evaluate the results obtained from non-invasive imaging using small-animal SPECT and investigate the recovery process in an animal model of renal ischemia...
